About Illustrators WorkShop

My hope is that this will be an enjoyment for artists who join, as well as those who want to view the artists works in progress and while getting the artists artworks noticed!
How it works: Artist will be paint a picture as they usually do, stopping in places they want to. Then for the Illustrators Workshop they scan the painting into the computer or take a picture of it and post it on their blogs. Each time an artist adds to their painting, they do the same thing; scan and post and explain in, say, no more that a couple of sentences or so what we did and added from the last time.
The whole thing would be up to the individual artist. Each artist does their sections/project as they want to, when they want. It can be any kind of art project the artist wants to do not only painting, just as long as they can scan or take a picture of the project and post it on their own blog. The blog postings will be in order, as blog posting are normally, so viewers can compare as the artist‘s project moves forward.
I might do some painting no less than once or twice a month. But if I can’t get to the painting I’ll post it when I next work on it. No pressure! The point is that those who want to see what we are doing can come and looking it at their leisure as well.
How the group works: Members email me when they are going to do the first blog posting and I will email all the members of the group so we can all post the upcoming blog posting for that on Twitter, Ping, FB Wall and whatever other sites members are on that they can post events and projects.
This will not be like the author blog tours, other than the fact that the artworks will be displayed on the artist’s blogs. There would be no set dates or times to start a project for anyone. No one prompts you to get it done.
Not to many notes/emails except to say they have a project and to get the group members to post the project for them. I think a group like this can get some recognition for the group and themselves by doing it together. Let me mention that for those who are worried about how am art project looks at first, they can always skip some of the problem painting sessions or post to posting together to show how they resolved a problem.
